Happy that X-Ray Spex was recommended by several people- Poly Styrene RIP was amazing. Also glad to see some other favorites like Sacrilege and D.I.R.T. recommended as well.

OTOBOKE BEAVER for sure

The Slits/X-Ray Spex are classics, too.

Efa Supertramp (Anarcho-folk) is good for that unplugged thing.

Oh definitely Nymb, Everyone Asked About You, and Sarge!
The latter are a bit poppier than like full on punk or emo but they still rock.

ohh I know this thread is a bit old but if anyone around here likes indie rock crap, I definitely recommend Metric ! It's a Canadian band led by Emily Haines, who is, of course, a woman ! they're really good .. I was introduced to the band by Scott Pilgrim vs. The World with their song Black Sheep in it, and then I listened to Fantasies, an album they made in 2009. Totally recommend them !

Charly Bliss is so awesome! I listen to Young Enough all the time, it's one of my top albums. You would probably like Bully too. And I've been super into Pale Waves' newest, it's very 90s throwback alt rock.
