YOOOO so I literally front a feminist punk band and am homies with a feminist noise rock band... we're trying for a new sound they called "Gash Rock" in their Gash Rock Manifesto. Akin to Riot Grrrl but a lot less liberal (in the leftist/radical kinda way ya dig). That band is Bleeders (ngl the stuff they have on streaming isn't a good rep of their current sound, the closest is the song "Edgy Boy", but I can send audio of more recent live shows for anyone who wants to DM), and my band is called SCUM. We even have a page on here!:)
anyway I made a spotify playlist for artists that are at least Gash-Rock adjacent imo. I'm also v interested in specific recs for this specific playlists if anyone else knows of any underground bands in a similar vein:

for straight up punk rock, check out Vial, Pinkshift, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, and Against Me! The Moore Family Band and Wife Patrol both have a good bit of punk influence, although they are a bit less focused on the political side of things lyrically. I'd also recommend Los Skagaleros, Half Past Two, Sonic Boom Six, Flying Raccoon Suit, and Catbite, all female-fronted ska bands covering a pretty wide range of subgenres (ska is incredibly diverse). ska and punk music have a lot of overlap within their respective scenes, so definitely worth getting into.
