I’m currently a grad student getting my masters in special education with a concentration in intellectual and developmental disabilities education.
I tried to go back to school right after undergrad during my first year teaching and it was cray
I took two and a half years off and this is my first semester back.
I graduated undergrad in 2017.
Let’s commiserate.

I just dropped my second M.S. program earlier this year because of logistical problems, and not wanting to write another thesis 17 months after I defended the first.
I'm looking into PHD programs. It. Is. So. Much.
I'm 100% terrified of the potential workload, especially with the labs I've looked at reaching out to.
(My first M.S. is in Cybersecurity. I would not trade the satisfaction of being done with that for anything.)

I'm pursuing my Master's in Anthropology. It was going well at first. Towards the end of my second year, I felt as though unexpected challenges were presented to me by my thesis advisor, and then she dropped me. (Absolutely had a crash out). Thank goodness I had been communicating with another professor throughout this time, and they took me under their wing. I'll be applying to do my ethics this week.Â

I'm currently attending an online program to get my MA in Communications with a focus on "Digital Content" (quotes being used because this class so far has been more about managing organizations and marketing way more than I was expecting from the name alone). I'm looking at in-person programs in my state for both MA/MFA and PhD programs for my field to see what they all have to offer.

I'm currently suffering in "only TA who knows how to teach in my tiny ass department" hell, and while it means ive gains a little job security, i'm also massively overworked and underpaid. Â
Anyone else's department seem like its trying to keep them from actually,,,, graduating? lol

Grad school is tough – endless papers, tough exams, crazy deadlines, and it feels like you're drowning sometimes. Back in undergrad, I managed alone, but now? No way. Having a tutoring service on hand is a lifesaver. I found this awesome one called mysupergeek they help with everything quickly and explain stuff simply. Today's studies are so intense, it's hard to graduate without some extra help from services like this. Highly recommend trying one!Â
