WHO HAS SEEN A GHOST? share true experiences here!

I've always had a fascination with the idea of the afterlife and ghosts, for years i sought but could never get real proof. In middleschool my friends and I would use ouija boards (stories for another day), download evp apps/dumb stuff like that, do bloody mary in the mirror or photograph cemetaries at night but still NO REAL EVIDENCE! As terrified as I was, I just wanted to see a ghost, I wanted to know. It took quite a while though. 

My evidence came at the least expected time. Having a sleepover at my friends house. It mustve been ~4AM, I am asleep until, for no discernable reason, I open my eyes. The large window at the opposite side of the room is the only illumination in the pitch black room, but with the edge of the bed in the direction of the window, the human silhouette at the end of the bed is unmistakably distinguishable. 

The silhouette seemed to lean over a little bit as I watched, of course I did not realize what I was seeing. I assumed it was my friends mother leaning over to wake us up and I thought something mustve happened. In these seconds I waited for something to happen, then abruptly the shadow faded. THEN the panic set in, when I realized there were no other humans in the room. I was frozen for a couple secons, eyes wide, then i whisper-screamed to my friend who was next to me to wake up. "DUDE. DUDE, WAKE UP. I THINK I JUST SAW A GHOST" - my exact words LOL. 

She just kinda groaned. Then after the longest ~10 seconds she was like, "wait what?" Then we whisper argued about who would get up and turn on the light. Its actually really funny to think about the entire exchange we had after I saw the ghost, we were both terrified LOL. 

BUT THEN! her baby brother upstairs started crying! 

Thats my whole story though. She lives in a different city now, I havent seen a ghost since (its been probably ~5? years), but the existence of ghosts is a hill I will die on haha. 

Its actually just funny to me because I spent so long really hunting down proof and after I had long stopped really caring BOOM it happened. waking to a silhouette at the end of bed is actual nightmare fuel but the whole experience was just, fine? i guess its just since i thought it was her mom, obv i panicked after realizing haha.
