Going by some of the comments here, people don't get left: Biden is not "left". And YES, I voted for him, he was our most viable option for getting Combover Caligula out. But he's actually more than a bit right of center,

)Can be left liberal, socialist, communist, marxist, libertarian socialist, anarchist, socdem, demsoc, green party, etc anything left leaning esp socially but economically would be nice too I'm a strong supporter of unions and the right to live in good health.
It's very nice to have people to talk to about political topics when most people see it as taboo and won't engage very much. ):

Millenial, former Repub-now-registered-Independent who voted for Obama (both times as a registered Rep), Hillary, and Biden. Wanted Bernie. Always voted for who I felt represented what was more important. I've always been political and called myself a "fiscal republican" for most of the time and thought maybe these people that I had similar political views would see how hateful and unworkable their policies were and then Sept 2019, I couldn't take it anymore and changed my party affiliation to "Independent" to vote in the Democratic Primary to try and get Bernie on the Ballot and in the White House. But anywho, love reading these comments.

I'm not sure of where in the left i stand since I only started to focus on politics last year:/ but i think im a socialist since communism seems not so good to me. btw a test said im a centrist marxist but I want to figure what I am asap since I hate centrism in any side of the political spectrum.

As a Gen Xer, I can honestly say I'm an Indie. I have never voted for a "party". I can see the reason why so many Millennials vote far left or communist. You've been given no choice. I think I was in the last years of schools only lightly indoctrinating these ideas. Throughout all pop-culture the narrative is good to hold these values. I can't be frustrated by it. You know nothing else and I can't suggest much of anything. ( for instance it does no good to suggest investigating ideas other than majority rule to some ) I don't think it will "turn out" the way it was sold. Nothing ever is with Government. Government itself carries with it a very ideological lie.

i can't speak toward specifically communism because that's not what i am, but my poor man's argument for anarchy is as follows
it's cuz a lot of people are fed up with the ways that society is operating, of course.
a lot of people are already living in crisis as it stands, people are deeply unhappy with the way they live, lead unfulfilling lives, and desperately want to change that but see no opportunity in the way things are as they stand. the world is already a heavily dysfunctional mess that has nothing to gain from the equally-if-not-more dysfunctional way that "republicans" choose to do things, that being incessant repression and standing up for the already heavily privileged, e.g., the rich.
politicians realistically do very little for me, and voting for "better" ones doesn't seem to cut it either, so i would rather just do whatever i can to help my community directly rather than sacrificing that power to people who don't care about me whatsoever, some going so far as to actively hate those i hold dear (LGBT etc.)

Young millennial so getting oldish
I haven't been using a specific micro tendency label. Used to lean more anarchist, now lean more Marxist or post-Marxist. I still have so much to learn but I think there are times nuance is important but also appearing to take a one-sided stance is sometimes necessary when people are engaged in a sort of fake / bad faith sort of "nuance". This can be a very difficult line when it comes to arguing leftists haha
