Imo be weird and awkward but kind

This took me a while and I am sadly not done figuring it out but I do have some ground rules

1. Assess the relationship you have with the person you're speaking to. 

Is it a classmate? Friend? Adult? Choose your tone depending on that (like how professional, informative or casual.)

2. Only say a much as needed or invited. 

Did they ask you a question? Answer it. Short, informative but you're allowed to drop a small well placed joke. Example: "where's the bathroom?" You: "right next to the huge (obstructing object) that hasn't moved in months." Like how construction is annoying.

3. Goals?

What are you trying to achieve from this interaction? Information? Connection? Ordering food? Usually when looking for information you get straight to the point. Like, where is this building? Connection unfortunately requires small talk. Then conversation if small talk goes well.

4. Back to as much as needed or invited

Are you talking to one person or a group? Is there a specific subject? Stay on that subject and give others equal opportunity to talk (or yourself, you are also a person remember.) only add what you need and don't "over-" anything. Being aware of yourself and your words help avoid any icky post interaction regrets.

5. Damage assessment 

You really want to say something. Badly. But think first! What will happen afterwards? How will the people you are speaking to react? Think of the consequences and act accordingly.

6. What are their goals?

Think. What do they want from this. Adjust accordingly.

7. And if your voice sound weird, I'll tell you how to fix it when I do that myself :/

If you're wondering, I am autistic. These rules sound very cautious and a little stiff and I don't even follow them all the time. Bend these rules as far as you need to sound like a person and not a robot

That's what I wanna know!!! I don't know anyone on here. I'm just an unemployed momma's basement weirdo. Nobody cares about little ol' me! Not in a way that matters, I mean. I gotta get a job one of these days if I can't count on someone to save me from this Christian borehouse. I wanna transition into someone worth caring about already

i just go up to random ppl who look close to my age and say smth like "heyyy wanna be best friends?" or just talk to ppl online bc they cant spread rumors abt me to ppl i see at like school and stuff so im not as scared of them + ppl making friends online are usually also alt and are like really cool
