My favourite type of movies are the "weird" movies. Or idk if they really count as "weird" movies, but that's what my mom calls them..

I like the type of movies ill remember and not just forget yk

These are some of the movies my mom has called weird:

Brigsby Bear (2017)

Moonrise Kingdom (2012)

Swiss Army Man (2016)

Does anyone have any movie or director recommendations??

You'd probably like Wes Anderson's films, he directed Moonrise Kingdom and is known for how he frames his shots, everything is always very neat and precise.

Beyond that I really like Wrong, Time Bandits, and of course Napoleon Dynamite is a classic when it comes to weird/quirky movies. Hopefully some of these sparked your interest!

Also if you like Swiss Army Man I would 100% recommend getting into some of their other work like short films and such, here's a playlist I made of them

DANIELS short films/music videos

for directors there's Taika Waititi, Bong Joon-ho, and Guillermo del Toro. Super easy to find/stream their work

yo idk if it counts as "weird" per se, but people think I'm weird for liking it so I'm gonna recommend it to you. you should watch Zero Day (2003)

full thing can be found on YouTube and effedupmovies for free. it's a sorta "found footage" style horror movie that's loosely inspired by the columbine basement tapes. it's pretty interesting, and there's also no blood/gore if you're worried about that.
