eu sei que My Chemical Romance não é exatamente uma banda emo, mas a primeira música que ouvi antes de me tornar definitivamente emo e começar a me aprofundar no sub foi Teens

Honest to god, it was a song in a creepypasta slideshow. "Don't You dare forget the sun" by Get scared XD. I started liking creepypasta in the early 2010s in like 3rd grade. It introduced me to a whole new type of music I had never heard before. Music that was really popular in the fandom at the time was stuff like Get Scared and Set It Off, which led to me getting into bands like My Chemical Romance, Falling In Reverse, Pierce The Veil, Fly Leaf, Meg, and Dia... and other popular pop-punk emo-esc bands, which then led to me getting into og emo bands from the '90s. I think at the time, emo and emo aesthetics were extremely popular and influential on the internet, especially in niche spaces and fandoms like Creepypasta, the amount of videos you can find on youtube of just pictures of Ticci Toby being played to Get Scared is insane.

"Animal I Have Become" by Three Days Grace. Gods, takes me back to the good old days of 2008 speedpaints with edgy Emo music. Those days were the best.

For me, it was "I'm Not A Vampire" by Falling In Reverse. I was 13 years old at the time when I found a lyric video of that song on a lyric video channel that mostly made lyric videos of Avril Lavigne songs (I was a huge Avril fan at the time) and decided to check it out. Best decision I've ever made.

For me - as far as I remember, Ghost of you and Helena by MCR brought me into this emo'esque culture.
Fun fact, when I got my first access to the internet in 2006 (I was 13 back then), my first website that I visited was MCR's official website. My friends told me there was a game based on Helena's MV. It is still exist but kept on different website so give it a tru. Helena 8-bit game
