for female-fronted punk bands, my favorite are the xray spex, the lunachicks, and l7!! bikini kill, sleater-kinney, the slits, and siouxsie and the banshees are also great!

Skating Polly is an awesome grunge band, my favourites of theirs are "I'm Cheap (They're Free)", "Camelot" and "Perfume for Now".

well the classic is The Runaways, it was a all female band and Joan Jett was apart of it. Then you got the Riot Grrl genre which is basically feminist punk rock, popular bands include Bikini Kill and Bratmobile. Hole is another all-female band andddd i cant think of anything else.

i usually hate female fronted punk bands as they take up a very obnoxious whiny vocal style typical in riot grrl, which probably has its origin in bikini kill but this band, pre-skool is definitely something special. really well written choruses and classic punk production (or more like lack thereof!) some truly great pop punk that is actual PUNK
