thoughts on analog horror?

anyone here familiar with the sub-genre called Analog Horror. I've been apart of the community for around 5ish years but I never really got involved with it up until around June of last year. Since then I've experimented with editing and I am currently making 2 series. One of them (my oldest one) is called The Mobiot Tapes and the newest one I'm making is called The Grinology Documents.

If I had to recommend a few they would be

- The Smile Tapes (by Patorikku)
- The Mandela Catalogue (by Alex Kister)
- The Walten Files (by Martin Walls
- Monument Mythos (by ALEXKANSAS)
- FNAF Tapes (by Squimpus McGrimpus)
- Backrooms Found Footage (by Kane Pixels)
- The Seeing One (by Birthplace)
- They Lie Above (also by Patorikku)
- Gemini Home Entertainment (by RemyAbode)
and arguably the most popular series Local58 (by Kris Straub)

Ive always been a really big fan of the mandela catalouge and other good ones! its such a shame that one situation (proved false) completely dunked its popularity though :( and theres recently been just so many overused tropes and scares that a lot of analogue horror that a lot of them just... are straight trash tbh... but there are some absolute gems like vita carnis and Dr nowhere's channel :3
