What pronouns should we use for you? any idrc

What was the first movie that you remember watching? wizard of oz?

Any favorite directors? wes anderson (minus the noods...not noodles) and ken russell (minus the blasphemy and noods...still not noodles) and tarantino (minus the feet)

What is your favorite and least favorite trope? i don't really have trope preferences

What's a movie mistake you can never unsee? i don't really notice film mistakes but something i do notice a lot is A113

Why do you like movies? they combine many different forms of art into one

Do you have a favorite actor? What makes them stand out? uh, maybe? i guess i sort of like james stewart, jason schwartzman, and jack nicholson? they're all guys whose first names begin with j...

What's your favorite movie? willy wonka and the chocolate factory. i will NOT back down from saying this. (NOTE: in saying this, the film is not at all respective of my current taste in films. yet, it holds a sentimental place for me as it's probably been one of my favourites growing up, i've watched it countless times and for me to say i'd hate it is absolutely ridiculous. i don't care if roald dahl hated the 1971 film! i will forever stand by the fact that i think this film reigns supreme over the 2005 charlie film and the 2023 wonka film for a large number of reasons, however dated the film's language may be. *ahem* thank you for listening to my karen-esque rant.)

My two favorite directors are Andrei Tarkovsky and Wes Anderson

Ahhh I don't have a favorite or least favorite, think it depends on how a movie uses a certain trope.

Currently blanking on a movie mistake.

Why do you like movies?
 I feel like with films there are so many ways to portray emotions, atmospheres and story with sound, the camera, and the script.

What makes them stand out? 
Man has incredible range and nails every role he is in. Also his dedication, on his Criterion closet you can really see how much he loves/respects movies for example him not choosing to remake Onibaba

Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, honestly got me into the marine field

no idea tbh.. probably not the first but i remember watching finding nemo at the drive in as a kid

luca guadagnino, his cinematography is just beautiful ugh hes brilliant

What is your favorite and least favorite trope?
i hate horror where the whole plot is just women being tortured for an hour with no depth or other plot.. just boring and souless,, i like a lot of tropes/things/whatevr my taste is very broad

What's a movie mistake you can never unsee?
not a movie cuz i cant think of any but the little mistakes in squid game season 2 like a camera guy being visible in a scene or namgyu having an airpod in lol

Why do you like movies?
same ways as i feel about any type of media, everyone being able to interpret it differently, a good distraction or mood booster, how they can impact ppl idk theyre just great!!

i lovee timothee chalamet he's so talented he portrays pain so well and his range is INSANE, also he just seems like a likeable dude

i also ADORE taylor russell she's so talented and well spoken she seems like such a kind soul

The 1995 VHS copy of 1977's Star Wars, when I was 2 years old! (in dusty old 1997!)
Any favorite directors?
George Lucas, Stanley Kubrick, John Carpenter, Kevin Smith, Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, James Cameron, and Martin Scorsese!
What is your favorite and least favorite trope?
My favorite would be "refusing the call", My Least Favorite would be "Everybody Dies" endings.
What's a movie mistake you can never unsee?
*BONK*, I caught it in my first viewing of Star Wars. Can never unsee it!
Why do you like movies?
I can get engrossed in the stories, a little zest from an otherwise mundane life!

Forgive me for being *base*, but I'll always love Star Wars: Return of The Jedi. The redemption of Darth Vader hits an emotional string with me due to personal circumstances involving my own Father.

What was the first movie that you remember watching? Absolutely NO clue lol.
Any favourite directors? Ohhh, I'm the biggest Wes Anderson fan on the planet. I'm genuinely insufferable about his films. Nobody ask me about The Grand Budapest Hotel. You WILL NOT get me to stop talking.
What is your favourite and least favourite trope? Mentor/teacher character dies is my favourite because it literally never fails to have me bawling. Least favourite is probably 
What's a movie mistake you can never unsee? Not a movie, but the first thing that came to mind when I read this was the infamous Game of Thrones Starbucks cup.
Why do you like movies? I really want to give some sophisticated answer like "Oh, they let me experience an eventful life in a reality where that isn't possible", but they're just such fun. That's it! 
Do you have any movie-related social media for us to follow you on? (Letterboxd, a dedicated blog or Twitter account, etc!) I've got my humble little Letterboxd full of shit one-liners and a hell of a lot of complaining. Have fun!
Do you have a favourite actor? What makes them stand out? I keep accidentally going on unintentional movies-with-this-one-person runs and they never fail to make me go "Oh wait, they're actually so good at this." Names that come to mind are Russel Crowe, Steve Carell and Tilda Swinton. But I think my all-time favourite actor is Micheal Emerson.
What's your favourite movie? This question plagues me day and night. I have no idea. I'm a chronic Letterboxd user, so I always carry my answer to this question in bundles of four. Right now we have Airplane! (1980)/The Fall (2006)/The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)/Little Miss Sunshine (2006).

What is your favorite and least favorite trope? Favorite: Mean Girls wear pink. Least: Smart Kids/Nerds wear glasses.
What's a movie mistake you can never unsee? In the start of the movie Halloween (1978) Michael breaks a car window with his hand, but if you look, the hand has a wrench attached to it.
Why do you like movies? Because i have fun with them and its a great way to put creative ideas out.
