I'm a nu metal/hardcore metal fan!! Fav bands are Knocked loose (if you've never listened to them, do!) Korn, SOAD, Deftones etc. I make music myself, and I make songs with a metal sound (ish) but is more shoe gaze. If anyone likes metal but also loves Wisp, Elita and Deftness then I'm gonna be releasing some music in a couple of months! Under the name elsviine :)

Me personally, I’ve been wanting to get into more of the metalcore scene lately. I started listening to a lot of Architects, After the Burial, Asking Alexandria, Crown the Empire, this cool new-ish band called Lost Souls, and Unearth
Look, I don’t care if those bands are “mainstream” and hopefully no one else does either, I’m comfortable with sticking to what’s popular at the moment and I’m tired of my taste in music being criticized by people who wanna act tough and different

honestly as far as I ssee we are just metaleheads with the idea of liking metal as a whole and not speific genres \m/

Personally nowadays more into Death Metal related styles, but still love tons of other subgenres found within metal.
Started with more traditional metal such as Sabbath, and some US 80s Thrash, then got into Black Metal, but eventually growing my taste as time went by so I'm open to listening to a variety of styles, but I listen to more death and thrash related things most of the time now

Ngl, i'm a mix version.
I listen to Black/Death metal bands such as Mayhem, Venom, 1349, (black), Gojira, C4nn1b4l C0rps3, Morbid Angel, Death (death). But i also listen to heavy metal bands like Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Anthrax, Pantera, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Motley Crue, etc.
But hilariously, i listen to Thrash metal: Sepultura, Metallica, Kreator, Death Angel, Exodus, Megadeth, etc.
I listen to symphonic metal: Nightwish, Therion, Kamelot, Xandria
But the list goes on..

I listen to anything, but I really like almost everything between the 80s and 2000s, that more classic stuff.

The range of metal genres that I listen to is very broad, from brutal death metal to nu metal. As a all genre's type of guy, I listen mostly to bands like dying fetus, abominable putridity, hell's enemy, and my all time fav band cannibal corpse. I also love filo bands like slapshock and valley of chrome. Overall I don't really have a preference when it comes to genres hehe :3

Mostly black metal, more preferably dissonant, pagan, or depressive, but I also listen to a bit of doom metal, death metal, neue deutsche härte, and sludge metal. I’m willing to listen to any subgenre of music tho! ^^

I love when metal is mixed with other genres to create something truly unique. Think Electric Callboy mixing metal and Eurodance or Utsu-P mixing metal with Vocaloid.
That being said, I also like a mishmash of songs from Dethklok, Dio, Metallica, and Poppy. I don't like to tie my music taste down to just one thing.

Im definitely more of a doom/sludge, death, and metalcore leaning person fs. I kinda fell headfirst when starting out listening to metal, checking out bands like Iron Monkey and Eyehategod, but I loved them, but I was still more into nu-metal but that switched instantly as sludge has my heart now and forever fs. It has the right balance of doom and hardcore. I think that purists who prefer both metal and hardcore to separate really are missing out on rlly good bands that progress the sound of metal to different extremes and technicalities.
