I've used my smartphone (which is a samsung) purely as an MP3 player because I can put so much more music on it than I could an iPod. I have a very eclectic taste in music (so I have a good few hundred or so albums on my phone) so carrying a smartphone is more of a convenience for me to have on hand whenever I wanna block out certain people and listen to music.

I did have a cell phone at one point, it was a Nokia from around I wanna say 2003, maybe 2005. If I were to get another cell phone, I'd probably get a Sony Ericsson.

i honestly wouldnt be bothered if our smartphones would magically disappear, ofc it would be weird and kinda wished i could reach for it but as long as we have computers still, i wouldnt mind

me and my bestie could not resist the urge anymore to get flips phones !!! I just wish more people would switch to flips phone, its so cute and you don't spend as much time on social media !

Yessss! There was a kinda *very* stupid theory based off of the Simpsons that our technology was gonna all blow up kinda like the 2000s/1999 theory and some other stuff  on certain date that all ready passed  and even tho I didn’t believe any of it i kinda wished we had that and didn’t know how to make iPhones and cell phones and that we has flip phones!

I WISH but cause I’ve been growing up with Iphone for like 7 years I don’t think like I can’t idk if i’d be able to do that i’ll try in holidays tho maybe! <3

YESSS!! I remember my mom gave me her old flip phone when I was little but only the camera worked loll. I desperately want to go back to simpler technology as a society. I've been thinking about getting a flip phone for awhile plus it'd be fun to decorate. 

Frr I really want those cute Japanese flip phones which were going viral some time back and the best part is that they have a cursor thingy WITH the buttons and it also supports today's social media but I would prefer that phone to be sort of an escape from the open brutality of this world

omg I wish that everyone had flip phones again with old laptops and mp3 !!!

Sometimes I just feel TOO connected to everything that's going on in the world, work updates, emails, to do lists, social media updates etc.etc.etc.!!

The nostalgia for flip phones I think for myself comes from:

1. Not being bombarded with a barrage of notifications for every little thing

2. Flip Phones had novelty to their design -- rather than bland generic iphone that rolls out every year

3. Customization!

i love the motorola razr too... i have a silver one which i got from family for free xD i wish older flipphones worked with modern networks, i mean 4g LTE etc. we still have 2g and 3g in my country but it's being phased out :// srsly motorola needs to bring back the OG 2004 razr but make it work with 4g LTE and maybe 5g too + internet T_T i need a break from my current phone. and the flip phones currently being made that are compatible with LTE etc. are just.... mid. in their design. they look too modern even for a flip phone i need those futuristic vibes from back in the dayyy ugh

i also am a huge fan of the first iphones, i mean i was a pre-teen in the iphone 5-8 era so honestly any iphone until the 6 is super nostalgic for me, i still have my old 6 and i miss it so much. though that's def more 2010's than 2000's.

I tottaly agree with your statment. I feel like it would be better and more fun with flip phones. People would be more in the moment and maybe more social compared to now. Besides it would be more fun using phones like that. 

Altough I woudn.t be able to not have social media or somthing to do due to my attention spam lmao.

I've seen that samsung has started producing smart flip phones, where thye basically have a touch screen and are able to run social media like tiktok, instagram etc. So you can still have a modern phone but in a cute a cute flip phone style!!! (not talking about those where you flipthe whole screen). They're called samung galaxy folder if anyone wants to check them out X0
