the movie Perfect Blue.. its suchhh a mind fuck!!!

This one counts more as a psychological drama but it has its elements of horror. The animation of Aku no Hana might be a deal-breaker for some but I would still recommend it because I think its purpose is to make the audience uncomfortable. 

Serial Experiment Lain is great, but its more psychological horror than traditional spooky stuff 

I just finished the first vol of Monster, and ooh it’s too good, it’s more psychological thriller but enjoyable nonetheless

the junji-ito collection is a good one!! or parasyte is good, but that's more body horror than actually scary (to me at least I've seen a lot of people who were scared of it)

Yamishibai is pretty good, more like short stories about japanese urban legends.

Parasyte is a really good horror anime >V< probably the best one I've watched

Junji Ito's collection is a horror series where each episode is a different story, I've read his books and they're pretty good.

If ur ok getting mentally fucked up, I recommend Perfect Blue.

perfect blue is one of my favs!! its a good psychological horror, and it does go over some darker topics, but id for sure recommend!

"Another" it has only 13 episodes if i recall correctly but it's fire!

most people don't consider it horror, but "flowers of evil" always gets under my skin, especially the outro music. 

i would say higurashi no naku its a really good anime

these are manga but blood on the tracks and starving anonymous I recommend

I've found I've really enjoyed the horror manga from junji ito! he has some really scary but cool stories that are definitely worth a read. For something to watch maybe blood-c, from what I've heard it's really graphic and scary so it'll definitely be worth a watch!

idk if this is 100% considered horror but defo thriller is Monster.. its a bit of like a slow burn almost but it reallyy good

hmm i would say corpse party even though theres only 2 eps or so, but its really good:3

i think my only rec is tokyo ghoul.. personally i love this series dearly and am fixated on it really hard currently so i might be biased lmao. one of the biggest things is that they kind of fumbled the anime so the manga is better but i don't let that bother me too much lmao. the manga and animes are complete and it has a couple of light novels to go with, along w a movie + a sequel to that movie

also, you can find a lot of anime/manga on kissanime/kissmanga respectively, which is what i use a lot of the time. however, you probably want to use a ad blocker. if you have crunchroll, they should have tokyo ghoul, :re, and the movies (or at least one of them)

I don't know if it would be considered horror but, Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island(6th One Piece movie) is super unsettling--and also my fav. If you don't care about watching actual One Piece then u should def watch the movie but if u are planning on starting One Piece then I'd recommend watching it after ep 224.

my all time favorite is higurashi when they cry, i love death note too but idk if that can truly be considered a horror anime
