I used to be a hardcore fan of The Cure growing up but I'm gonna say She Past Away, Sisters of Mercy, Inkubus Sukkubus, The 69 Eyes, London After Midinight Specimen, All About Eve, Siouxsie and the Banshees...and if I am allowed to add some gothic metal, I would say Theatre of Tragedy!

I'm so grateful for this forum. I'm a baby bat and only listening to the more popular stuff; the cure, bauhaus, siouxsie and the banshees. This is really helping me find new bands to listen to.

you guys should try listen to "vultos" is a brazilian post-punk band from the 80's, actually they are my favorite band i love all the tranks from "filme da alma" their first album.

Vision video!! They're relatively popular now but their tickets are still like 20 dollars and the shows are so fun

The Cult's early music (Their album when they were starting out by the band name Death Cult, Dreamtime, and Love specifically) and their newest release titled Under The Midnight Sun also has some cool Gothic tracks

Even though they became more Hard and Alternative Rock after that, I love every album they put out and none sound exactly a like so they all take care of any specific style I'm into atm which is also why I'm a fan haha

My absolute favourite is probably Specimen. I also like Alien Sex Fiend (which is kinda more deathrock ig), and Christian Death and a bunch of others, and a good pretty obscure one is The Candles Burning Blue (you won't find them on Spotify!)

I love the more industrial leaning goth bands like Skinny Puppy.  Depeche Mode isn't exactly industrial but they're sort of industrial-adjacent, and I love them too.  In addition, I love the original goth that leaned more heavily into post-punk.  Joy Division, Bauhaus, Christian Death, the earlier stuff from The Cure.  Another one of my favorites is Type O Negative.

ive also been trying to listen to more blutengel, faith & the muse, die form (industrial) and buzz kull lately
