I've been to a few events here and there but most seem either way too crowded or barely has anyone there. With most venues, around here at least, having cut themselves off from rave culture to the point of banning anything even remotely resembling ravewear/toys and the hyper-commercialization of stuff, barely seems worth it to go out.
I was able to get a monthly party going on locally but, again, not much for crowds so far except for a couple particularly good nights.
It is nice though, to see how much Techno is incorporating elements from trance, psytrance and hardstyle now. Like everyhing has come around full circle and it's an amazing combo.

I'm only recently getting into rave culture but I've loved EDM all my life! I've done so much research, all that's left for me now is to just go to one lol. It seems like such a sweet community and I can't wait to join in! I don't really know the names for the different genres yet, I just know I love EDM!

I've been raving a few years now, and I've been obsessed with the scene for longer. I tend to stay off to the sides and chat rather than dance, though. My favourite rave was my most recent one, Ravefurrest Toronto. I made so many new friends and the vibe was immaculate. I wasn't an outcast there, everyone was like me. It was life changing.

First time on the site, had to check it out.Ā
I love raving, used to live in Miami for a bit. Best scene in the US by far. Perreo del Futuro and Suero at Floyd is where its at. Plenty of illegal-ish and legal stuff happening across the city.Ā
If you guys are ever in Miami, go for the right show, but Factory Town is an amazing venue. Hocus Pocus is a great time to go. That and Floyd. Theirs alot of fire nights by the locals. Suero as previously mentioned is great, Objects Dont Dance, Sugar Rush and Hands Off are personal favorites. iiiPoints still is amazing.Ā
Avoid the Space Terrace unless you enjoy the personal playing. Honestly over priced and not that interesting.Ā

I haven't been to many raves, but the best one I ever went to was a furry rave on Halloween night. I'm not a furry, but they know how to TURN UP. It was honestly the best Halloween of my life, I had so much fuckin fun that night.

Hey, love the energy in this thread seeing people share their rave stories and favorite genres brings me back. Iāve spent nights in Miami just walking around to the beat of music drifting through the streets, and Iām always chasing that feeling. Also, when Iām getting creative in my space, I throw in a little flair a neon sign from Ā gives my room that same glow you feel at a late-night chant or set.
