I think that its the lack of time you get for your friends and yourself, you have to learn to split your time for everyone, that one is the hardest for me

that you often forget about yourself. you often put your needs down in order to keep your s/o satisfied- and also lack of free time

My ex actively hated what I enjoyed in my free time. She wouldn't stop being an ass and complaining about how she didn't like it, even though she wasn't there. (she was texting me, or on the phone)

She only wanted to be in bed. That's not what I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I loved doing it every so often, but that's all she wanted.

I love sharing music with people I care about, but she never listened to any of it. Ever. She hated anime, saying that it's 'too flat' (which I can understand), but she watched Big Mouth directly after saying that.

Broke up with her after about a year and a half.

Highschool romance sucks. If you're going to get a gf (or bf), make sure they have similar interests or personality.

constantly putting them above you, even in a perfectly healthy relationship it can be hard to remember you can have your own opinions/likes/etc without it having to please them!!

The worst part is probably the breakup itself, giving things back to the other person and coming to terms with the fact that they are no longer your partner

Well, that probably depends.

One-sided relationships suck

Dishonest partners suck

Abusive partners suck (mentally and/or physically)

Situationships suck

Ect.

I think something that sucked for me in a relationship I had around a year ago was an age gap of 5-6 years (I was the younger one). The woman I was with broke up with me because I was too young, even tho we were on the exact same level and we have fit perfectly. Sure, she did the right thing to break up with me (even tho it is legal in germany in some way) but it still hurts to know that the perfect relationship didn't work because I was just too young.

Only my thoughts on it tho!!
