If you want a really good horror novel that's truly scary AND with great fleshed out characters, anything by Nick Cutter.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue was the most recent book I read, and I LOVED it. It might open some doors though, because I had a couple sketch dreams of Lucifer lol

If you're into science fiction and a little satire Dad's Nuke and Kalifornia are both great reads from Marc Laidlaw. He wrote the entirety of the lore and story for the Half-Life universe and contributed significantly to the Portal games.

I would recommend the Thirst series. As well as the Zodiac Legacy series (its a Stan Lee series and it is AMAZING!)

Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. It slows down near the end, but overall I loved it. I'm also currently reading Into the Wild, and I can say the first half is excellent!

seven husbands of evelyn hugo defo!! Very good complex characters, you become very attached to them quickly and this makes the book so much more emotional. It has thought provoking themes and discussions in it, to do with LGBTQ in Hollywood and in the past, the social ideas of marriage and abuse in different ways, domestically and in the film industry. One of my favourite books ever.

any book from the john dies at the end series by jason pargin! you don't have to start with any specific one, i started with book 3, but my favourite has to be book 2. i'm just a big fan of zombie media.
