Yes, definitely! I've had several encounters/experiences happen to me over the years to simply not believe in them

i've had a handful of truly unexplainable events happen to me. i don't want to say with certainty "oh that was the ghost of a deceased person" or "that was an alien entity", i just don't know, so i prefer called them unexplained, paranormal! but idk if specifically ghosts and afterlife are proven yet. what truly irks me is people who deny the possibility of aliens and ghosts and cite their "scientific values" for that belief. no bitch, writing off hundreds of thousands of experiences and unexplained events just because it doesn't sound realistic makes you UNscientific!! anyway... yes we need more scientists on this, no idea why these cases are being buried and ignored

to put it simply, yeah! i do. i believe in hellenism, so the topic is kind of complicated. let's talk about it!

to preface, let's understand the sheer importance of death and burial rites in the ancient greek zeitgeist. to leave a body unburied was not only a crime against humanity, a disrespect to the nature of the person and their body, but a theft from the gods, because leaving a body unburied would cause their soul to be prevented from crossing over into the afterlife. these unburied souls were called the ataphoi, and they come in many different manners: soldiers who died terribly in wars, people left unburied, people who died prematurely or 'untimely' ex: a man who died before finishing school, a woman who died before marrying, but now it can be applied to any modern situation. there is even a festival called the anthesteria, which honours dionysus via a ritual marriage to the high priestess of a given athenian state + games + celebrations + and on the final day, a festival of the dead in which food is given for them and they are ushered out of the house!! "out the doors, keres, anthesteria is over!" is a common thing for them to have said, "keres" referring to evil spirits in this context.

I think there is some form of afterlife, and even gods

I feel like everything is too perfect for it to not be made by someone or something, and energy never dies. Its reformed, if worse comes to worse we just end up reincarnated as something (I CALL DIPS ON A D0G0-)

I hope this makes any form of sense

Oh yes, I believe. I remember as a child, after my grandmother’s funeral, I walked into a dark room and her spirit was standing in the middle. Then I turned on the light and it disappeared. Maybe she wanted to say goodbye...

Yeah we do but mainly from experience. When we were tiny we got dragged into a closet by a unseen figure and ever since we get random supernatural activity.

We have alot of paranormal stories if you're interested in hearing them.
But in short we 100% believe.

I believe in spirits and some kind of afterlife, I don't think we just become nothing or become anything different than what we are, part of me wants to think there's a replica of our world after we die and we get to wander and just live as we want from then on

I do think ghosts are real. As a kid I had multiple experiences with supernatural. I woukd feel people touch me when no one was there, I have beel pulled and I’ve also seen a ghost with my own eyes. However, it was a very long time ago, so yes I think they are real but I would like to have more experiences with them.

i Personal do think ghost or other higher things (not as in god) do exist.

as for ghosts not only  do I think they exist bc I had some "encounters" but also it gives me peace and hope thinking I won't be gone forever and I can somehow protect people dear to me.

as for a life after death I can't imagine what happens when I die. if there rlly is a god or another higher being or if there's nothing.

i also keep wondering if I keep my senses and my awareness, and  if yes do I just float in a black void as in my mind. or is there a place my soul or my body goes to and is there other forms of life and what form does it take on.

in the end I prob won't know till my time is up.

Despite some of my family members deeply believing in ghosts, spirits, demons and such: I'm personally not fully convinced that ghosts exist. There have been a few times where I could describe them as encounters, but I've had other experiences that I know the source of where they come from and why they happen, which are very similar to those encounters I had before. I used to be somewhat of a believer, but as the years pass I become less and less convinced.

Doesn't help that I've been overexposed to ghost hunting shows and lots of stories surrounding ghost and other things from the beyond. It's kind of predictable, and I've noticed a lot of patterns with stories that are similar to my grounding experiences that makes any kind of evidence not convincing enough. Maybe I'm too critical. But I'm the kinda person that craves concrete answers and evidence and/or a personal experience that I cannot explain and/or find a more reasonable answer for. I'm just not convinced, even though ghosts are a cool concept to me :P

As for the afterlife; it would be nice if we knew for certain. I like to pretend sometimes that I do believe in an afterlife and it does give a weird sort of comfort. But it doesn't feel like the real kind of comfort and contentment that I desire on a more primal level. Maybe it comes with age. And I hope it does. :)

I’ve always been fascinated by stories about spirits and the afterlife, and it’s interesting to hear everyone’s experiences. While researching local history, I sometimes cross-reference things like Maine arrest records to understand the context behind old cases or legends in the area. It’s amazing how some events can leave a lasting mark on communities. Personally, I’m open to the idea that there’s more beyond what we see, even if it’s just energy lingering in places. Sharing stories like this really makes me think about the unseen side of life.

I believe in reaincarnation ( I don't know how to write the word, don't judge.). I don't believe in Heaven and/or Hell and I don't think that once we die, the world turns black. I believe that we are reborn either in this universe or another one, which is maybe why we don't remember our ancient lives.

yes i definitely do!
i had two older brothers that died before i turned 6 and im convinced they have been with me ever since.

some incidents:

- i saw my brother outside the window shortly after his death
- i remember being in class, smelling a perfumey smell and someone putting his hands on my shoulder, but when i turned around no one was there
years later my mom gave me some clothes of my brother that she had stored in a box and the shirts and the perfume in the box smelled exactly the same as what i smelled in class that day
- i used to hear someone talking to me in my room (male voice)
- my dog always stared at walls but only in my room
- i always felt a presence in my room, it was never scary and i always felt really safe.
I got new furniture in that room when i was 15 and the night before that i had a dream of my brother saying goodbye to me
after we brought the old furniture away i never felt the presence again
a year later my mom told me my brother had built that desk for me (the one we got rid of)

some other incidents over my life:

- i was always afraid of the apartment downstairs (my brother used to live there before his death) and after his death i barely ever stepped a foot into the apartment

When i was 9 i had a sleepover with  a friend down there and at 3am the tv turned on by itself, playing a murder show (i dont really remember what it was but it was super scary)

when i was 13 i had to move down there for 2 weeks cause we needed to fight some mold in my bedroom
While i lived there i heard someone walking around at night, lights would turn on an off, my dog went crazy down there and started barking whenever we heard footsteps (i once opened the door and no one was there

years later i made a joke to my twin brother that the apartment downstairs is haunted. he agreed and told me he had scary experiences down there
my mom overheard that and told us my dead brother said the exact same things

- my grandma died a week ago and while on a walk on a field at 6am (i could see that no one was around or had been around for atleast 10 minutes) i suddenly smelled my grandmas perfume.

I think spirits survive in things, so i guess so. Im not exactly sure on like...the traditional sense of a human-like being that's just invisible or whatever, but I do think that people's spirits live on in places and things. Ever been in a really old place, especially like, old houses and stuff where people have DEFINITELY lived a good portion of their life and died...there's definitely energy there. Same with objects, dolls and shit. I guess spirits latch onto things/places that were important to them in their life.

In science they teach that matter is neither created nor destroyed it just changes form. With this logic I think we can apply it to human biology. Our brains are so powerful and more than that our nervous systems produce electricity. When our bodies decay its my belief the our consciousness moves on to the next being whatever that being may be.

As an atheist, i believe that there's no heaven nor hell and when people die they become spirits. I've always been thinking what it was like to be a ghost...

I believe in the possibility of those things existing; not everything can be disproven or proven right off the bat, so when it comes to it, I can respect the belief of just about any version of an afterlife.

Although when it comes to how the afterlife is presented, especially in religions, where it is believed that not following a specific doctrine will get you sent automatically to the bad place, is something that I simply can't respect, since it marginalizes[?] most people and robs freedom.

Yes absolutely. I've had many supernatural experiences and ever since I was little have wanted to be a ghost hunter. I have many books about ghost type and haunted locations in my area. (my favorite show also happens to be supernatural)

I believe in ghosts and an afterlife in some form, definitely.

I’ve seen too many unexplainable things to dispute their existence.

My personal theory is, they say energy cannot be created, nor destroyed, right?

Well, inside all of us is energy or a “soul”. Our bodies are simply a meat suit to house that energy. After we die, only our bodies do. I believe spirits/ghosts are that energy that has left peoples bodies, and is now roaming in the astral plane or “afterlife”.
