Ruffle is pretty shit if I'm being honest, a lot of overhead and doesn't work with a lot of games. In fact I've never actually gotten ruffle to work, not even the built in one in kongregate or something and all it did was load, black screen or a frame yet still managed to use 100% of my cpu. What you should really do is download a local flash debugger and download some .swf files [the format used by flash games, nearly all of them can be found easily] the local debuggers are official afaik and will work until the end of time, they're not a security risk since they're just a standalone program and can be run on windows, osx and linux! Even the latest versions of windows and debian work with it tho im not sure abt osx.
Not sure why ruffle is so bad though, I honestly cannot recommend it as a real alternative to the flash player. Everyones best bet is to just play these games locally ik its unfortunate that the days of visiting armoredgames.com and playing some Sift Heads on the pentium 4 school PC are dead and gone but at the very least these games are NOT GONE locally. Except for diggy, that one bricks itself when played locally. Fuck diggy! [im sorry diggy please come back lmk if anyone knows how to play diggy locally i miss diggy]

O btw there was this old I think Japanese flash game I played once as a kid and was never able to find again, so if anyone can find it pls shoot me a message
It was this one game where you're in an office and everyone has their own coloured area, and you're supposed to expand your area while not getting caught while also stopping other people from stealing your area

my faovrite sites to play flash on were girls go games too! <3
and also deviantart had all the good fandom flash games and my idol amy pacthesis who inspired me to make games. hetalia academy dating sim and number days were my favorites. i remember when number days came out i was geeked.
i also played a bit on newgrounds thats where i found all the games i wasnt suppsoed to as a kid.
i mostly just played the dating sims there too though and maybe a douche bag sim? so im not as much of an og to play pico as a kid i just scrolled over those sorts of ultra violence games.
as a teen i liked 666games.net cuz i was edgy and i loved the series dropdead it is the MOST 2000s scene shit youll see.
i guess kongregate toobut they had a lot of mixed media so it wasn't only flash.
oh and rinmaru games and coolmath games were sweet. rinamru was basically what picrew is now for me back then and i would make so many anime ocs using her flash dress up anime games.
there were a lot of websites that would share flashgames between sites and it was sick, rinamru and dolldivine were good examples of this.
i miss that a little and its not something we can have the same anymore.

I love flash games too. My childhood was built on Fancy Pants adventure. Now I often plat crypto slots at https://bestcasinobitcoin.com/crypto-slots/.Iโve had no issues with deposits or withdrawalsโthey process payments quickly. The mobile app is fantastic, allowing me to play anytime, anywhere. This is the best online casino Iโve played at!

I still play Flash games. You can use Ruffle (an alternative I don't recommend; it's a buggy emulator). There's also the option of using browsers that still support Flash or using older versions of Chrome.
Newgrounds has its own Flash game launcher, so you can play games from there without having to download another browser; just a small executable program.
There's also Flashpoint, a program dedicated to preserving Flash content. Using its app, you can play a wide variety of Flash games.
Even with these alternatives, I don't feel comfortable. Nothing will ever be the same. The problem is that most Flash game sites have been shut down, and others have abandoned Flash content. The only site I feel comfortable with is Newgrounds.
It's a shame that other sites don't take advantage of a launcher like Newgrounds or a similar plugin that isn't an emulation...
Actually, there is another site that uses something similar to the Flash launcher but is dedicated to adult Flash games, LOL. :v

honestly? No.
Canvas (and the rest of HTML5) does everything flash did, does it better, and isn't locked down by Adobe.
I do miss the attitude, though. The barrier of entry was so low, it allowed people to express themselves. While the modern canvas system is more capable, im guessing the reason it doesn't see as much usage is because you have to script everything yourself instead of having a dedicated editor.
