i love poetry. i dont always get it cuz im a little slow but poetry is such a beautiful language. for me, reading, writing, and sharing poetry can be a much easier way to explain how i'm feeling, a way of speaking in code and hopefully someone else can decode it lol. i never heard of Richard Siken before, but this poem is beautiful, thank you for sharing!

Beautifully done. I can't break the chains of rhyme to save my life. Feels more like a presentation with too many pointers than something with strong emotional value when I try. Love this, hope to see more.

I have similar opinions when it comes to structure, rhyme and rhythm. I'm not sure if it's because I'm more a fan of old-school writers or what. I mean, I get it, some people want complete freedom of expression and no boundaries. That's what poetry is to some. I always liked fitting my words into a pattern and seeing what I can come up with. It's satisfying to me to read/write in that way. Excellent poems, though, I can appreciate the style.

I love Richard Siken. Did you see his latest poem? I also love Ada Limón and Alejandra Pizarnik.

I find it interesting how beautiful the poem is, and thank you for sharing it.
Interestingly enough, I used to not be a large fan of poems and actually tried to avoid them all I could in the past, even if I am an aspiring writer, but now, I'm not entirely sure why I'm suddenly so drawn to the art of poetry. I've gotten to make my own small poems, and although mine do use rhyming sometimes, I mostly use repetition to convey the meaning and purpose of it. Kind of how you would see in a song most times. ヽ(⌐■_■)ノ♪♬
