Regular Show: Lost Tapes

Regular show is one of the few cartoons from my childhood that I still think about. It's actually even more relatable when your an adult. Anyways, the new series thats coming on May 11th sounds pretty cool so far. Sadly, not a whole lotta info yet, but I'd like to stay optimistic. JG's other show, Close Enough, was largely a flop and it seems so much so that HBO just wanted to wipe it off the face of the Earth. I actually did like that show as a casual watch. Not as impactful as Reg Show, but it had its own charm.
Hoping that this new show feels more like the first 3 seasons of Regular Show. I distinctly remember when season 4 aired, Cartoon Network started censoring reruns of Regular Show that had the word "pissed". Season 4 and onwards seemed less daring and crude, which I missed. Hopefully it doesn't have the curse of most modern revivals, with cheaper stiffer animation and the whole vibe of the show feeling watered down compared to the original. I'm surprised its coming to Cartoon Networks main channel from what we're hearing, which lets me know that it most likely won't be as adult as we were expecting. Kind of a shame, as it would be nice to see the Reg Show have a little more room for adult "stuff". Whatever the case is, I'll be waiting...

I am SO excited. I do truly have faith in JG Quintel as an artist and director, so I hope it doesn't fall into "corporate nostalgia bait" like so many re-makes or spin-offs do these days. *fingers crossed*

Loved Regular Show so much, I'm a grown azz adult and just re-watched it a few months ago.
