Labor and capitalist propaganda rant

I think we all know shein is bad, and most of us know pretty much every other mall clothing company is bad too. that's why most of everything i buy is secondhand or i try to get it from a sustainable/ethical company. under capitalism this is what the world is. capitalism feeds off of exploitation.

 with that being said, i hate how demonized China is, China does A LOT to crack down on unethical labor and sweatshops. the idea that we get everything from China because it's cheap labor is no longer true, it was when we started importing and it was true for years. in the early 2000s china started rapidly trying to fix it's poor labor laws and still frequently shuts down sweatshops, including shein supplier ones. but the reason sheins quality is so various is because they don't actually own the factories most of the time, they have independent suppliers in other poorer countries. the factories they show and take people to in china are an illusion. remember when they were inviting influencers on tours? it was for PR, but i think we all know that. so yes shein is a Chinese company, but they're suppliers are not. 

This again, like everything has to do with capitalism vs socialism/communism. Shein outsources it's goods because under Chinese law they can't do what they are doing, so they get their supply from other poorer countries without many labor laws. This is a consequence of Chinas mixed economy including capitalism, corporate greed is still flourishing. On the other hand the misconception that china is full of sweatshops and has no labor laws is feed to you by capitalist countries to feed into anti socialist/communist propaganda that tells you everyone is poor and exploited, when in reality that's how it is RIGHT NOW under capitalism. Why else would shein need to outsource labor?
