Nonbeliever to believer

Short answer is I believe because I was raised with stories and life experiences from people who you would never expect to believe in ghosts, I haven’t had my own experiences or maybe I’ve forgotten them, but my family has lots of them. Especially my mother, she told me about how when she was a small kid she would sometimes see her grandmother that has passed watching over her family members and protecting them, and she would see spirits in certain homes. It was mostly just family, and she never felt a bad presence, just protection. I do not sense or see any ghosts whatsoever, but all these stories made me believe. My mom is not superstitious, neither super religious, my other family members aren’t either.  Might be tied to my religious beliefs since I believe (yes my beliefs, guys, my beliefs) everyone is truly on earth, and their soul is still resting here. That the afterlife many people imagine (heaven and hell) hasn’t started yet because Jesus has yet to return. However I’m still very confused and can barely form a solid opinion on these things because I truly don’t have an answer to anything and things happen that make me question a lot.
