Still in Uni but one of the craziest things that happened was during my Sophmore year when our email domain or the @univeristyname.edu part of our emails got hacked into because students and staff clicked on bad psyshing links. Got so bad Google banned(?) the domain. By the end of the semester all of staff was communicating to students through Facebook XD Dunno if they ever fixed it since I transfered to my current Uni by then.
Anywho, onto advice...
You probably know but since I know a few Freshman need time to adjust I need you to know right out the gate that NOBODY GAF what you do (they're too busy to) and if they do they're still living in Highschool mentality and you can tell. You can be yourself a lot more, nobody really says anything from my experience. I went to a rural uni and had a rainbow checkered backpack with homemade pins and patches. The only colorful backpack on campus in a sea of neutral colors. No one ever told me anything about it :]
Another thing to spare you the worry is you don't have to raise your hand for anything. Especially if you need to go to the restroom. You just get up and head out the door quietly. Some profesors may ask you to tell them in advance if you're expecting a phone call so they aren't distracted if your phone rings and you walk out of class. Of course you don't need to tell them if they don't ask but it never hurts to tell them. Just something small you can do out of curtesy. Even more so if you know they're effidy about phones going off.
Last thing, when classes get rough, always remember: "C's make degrees!"
Wish you luck on your journey it's tiresome don't get me wrong but you'll find a lot of drive and joy if you know how to look at things.
