Iconoclasts, or Eastward definitely (both available on Nintendo Switch and Steam)
They both have slightly confusing stories, but very lovable characters. They're both sad, but amazing and just- CHECK THEM OUT PLEASE

Homefront, I really enjoyed this game. It's cool that the game isn't very long, so shooting and other stuff don't get boring, plus the missions were quite interesting.

Maybe the ChoroQ franchise, it's pretty obscure and also curious since it combines racing games and RPG games somehow..

XCOM2 is a pretty great game, I don't see it talked about all that much in the public sphere.
A Short Hike, Cry Of Fear, and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk are a few other games I don't see talked about all that much? They're all really good in their own right and I'd beg for people to give it a try.

lethal league blaze is pretty sweet. it's a breath of fresh air with its subtle innovation that it brings to the fighting game genre while sporting a killer sense of style. i should probably play it more but it's been rotting in the back of my switch game collection

Sunset Overdrive was a BANGER of a game that 100% got overshadowed by the fact that the Xbox One sat on its balls for like a year and a half until Microsoft realized they needed to make their system worth buying.
Insomniac's last game(?) before being bought out by Sony, and it is the closest we will ever get to Ratchet & Clank on Xbox. The only downside is that its comedy is incredibly dated and embarrassing at times.

The Monster Rancher series for sure. It hasn't gotten a new release in forever, not counting the DX port of the first two games to Switch, so that's probably a contributing factor... I just wish more people knew about them though. u-u

Seconding TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, and TimeSplitters 2 is also awesome. We played a ton of the latter on my dorm floor back in my college days.
Beyond Good & Evil also doesn't get enough attention or praise! It got a remaster recently for its 20th anniversary, which is nice, but I still don't see much out there about it. I was always interested in it at the time, but never actually got around to playing it until recently. It's an early 2000s 3D platformer, so it controls a little differently from modern games, but it's so good! Modern controls have all been homogenized to hell, for better and for worse, so I don't mind it feeling different.
