Sharty, formally /qa/ has succefully hacked and shut down 4chan. leaking not just the sorce code, but passwords and emails of the admins/moderators (jannies)
Also, it turns out the the admins were feds (at least some of them)
And others were stupid enough to use school email accounts (.edu) XD

Admins ranging between high school students and federal agents is something else. I wonder what those federal agents though of /mlp/. Also, I can't believe they got hacked with a 2012 PDF trojan.

This doesn't really surprise me. Many years ago, I became a janny for an altchan, and well, let's just say I saw some weird shenanigans. The imageboard closed unexpectedly one day, and when I emailed the owner asking why, he told me he found out some of the moderators were glowies and they were intentionally shitting up the boards.

Well that's unfortunate if glowies really aren't that uncommon. Years ago I remember seeing a few on a reddit alternative, but it was a very small amount.

For those who don't know it yet, 4chan is back up again. And wouldn't you expect it, anons grew more distrustful of the jannies operating this site. Some say they couldn't update for shite because only Moot knows how it operates.
I stopped buggering with it the moment they have those cooldowns and couldn't let me post for shite when I have my VPN on. I still lurk though.
