I probably have at least four styles of meditation that I do. One is yes, meditating with crystals. But I meditate with crystals mostly to get to know them, in a freeflow state of information exchange.
I also meditate at times to reconnect with the venue anchors I haven't been to in a while.
When I "go touch grass" and trees, and rocks, and like everything, I root out through my feet to ground but also to acknowledge that we wouldn't be here without her.
I also have to reincorporate myself sometimes, and this one almost looks like dissasociation, but internally it's instead pulling the things back that drifted out too far.
There's probably more meditiation tecniques I'm not aware of or do but all you are doing is connecting. Your way is valid.
