some time ago, when i was 10, i started seeing the silhouette of a body, who i was immensely scared of at the time. he was constantly looking over my shoulder (quite literally), i specifically remember one incident where i was lying on my couch, trying to sleep, and i saw him standing at the edge of my couch. in that moment, i was scared for my life, praying to the heavens, but now i don't know if he was actually trying to do me any harm. i haven't seen him in some time, and if anyone more experienced in these types of things knows if this is anything spiritual or just a weird hallucination of a little kid, please let me know!

update: I saw him again.

I have no anchor to the place you have been in so I cannot say for certain.  Fear isn't a red flag with spirits, but feeling unwell or depressed is.  If you feel or felt unwell or depressed as a pattern with this entity, maybe it's malicious.  But if not, it's most likely just curious.  One of the ghosts I know looks over my shoulder every so often.  Usually he chills in the ceiling. Dude's one of the rare overtly positive ones though, so I don't mind.  

It's honestly hard to tell if it's a guardian or just a random spirit that happens to pass through your place often. One thing to pay attention to is if there's other activity that kinda just stops when your familiar spirit decides to take an entrance, then you'd know.
