Other realities, law of attraction n our soul

Heyyy :D
There is something that has been bothering me for a long time. I see many people who believe in other realities or in the law of attraction (like me), they always have the pattern of believing that there are thousands of different realities for each choice they make, that is, a small action can take you to a collection of them, when you do the law of attraction, it is as if you have gone to a version in which what you want has already happened.

BUT, for me this is so scary and hard to think, like, everything seems so fake, matrix and "theatrical" thinking this way, it's scary that there are thousands of versions of me and the people I know in other realities. What do you think about this?? Could someone explain it to me?

Anyways, I believe it T_T . . .

it's based on *an* interpretation of quantum mechanics called the "many worlds interpretation", wherein a quantum superposition collapsing yields all possible states at once resulting in many similar realities as you describe.

in contrast, the Copenhagen interpretation holds that there is one reality, and that a superposition collapses into only one state. this interpretation is VASTLY more accepted among people who actually study quantum physics.

you should also know that the "law of attraction" comes from a tradition called "New Thought" which arose in the early 19th century, and the addition of the many worlds interpretation is a case of woo-woo people borrowing ideas from science because the aesthetic seem pleasing, with zero attempt to grasp the actual science behind them.

i'm not telling you what to believe or not believe, i just think it's important to know about the context that these ideas originated in, and modern spirituality movements are overall atrocious at including this vital context when communicating these ideas.

if you'd like to know more about quantum physics, PBS Space Time on YouTube has many excellent videos on the subject here

if you'd like to know more about the history of "New Age" spirituality, including the New Thought movement, ReligionForBreakfast has a good breakdown here
