im new to witchcraft and I've learned a bit about plants and their meanings etc, and now I want to move onto crystals, what they do, proper care all that other stuff. Do y'all have any reliable book recommendations on the topic? ^^

The usual go-to is called The Crystal Bible and is available basically everywhere.
Before you go buying a bunch of crystals from a shop I strongly encourage you to read up on the global crystal trade and its impacts on humanity and the environment, and spend some time asking yourself if you're okay contributing to that mess.
Best practice IMO is to go rockhounding for stones that are already around you in nature and use what is around you instead of relying on a system built on slavery, profiteering, wanton pollution, and artificial hype.
Even better, meditate with your stones and let them tell you who and what they are, what they do, and how to work with them instead of taking some author's opinion (as all these correspondence things always are) as gospel.
