Happy World Refugee Day, 20 June, 2024. 2024 Theme: "For a World Where Refugees Are Welcomed". This theme implies that we need to always maintain solidarity with refugees. It is more than just finding a solution to their plight but also recognizing their rights.
Solidarity with the refugees is a kindness. Their life is not easy and unstable. We can all become refugees if our situation in our country forces us to leave our country. Be grateful if we are not like that.
I personally hope that more countries will become parties to the 1951 United Nations Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol. This is so that there is awareness and responsibility for refugees.
