The Australian stabbings

If you haven't heard there was a stabbing in Bondi junction Westfield and that sparked so many fucking copy cats (My heart goes to the victims) what I don't get about is why are there copycats especially the one around Fairfield LGA, why is it just to get attention or is there and actual motive????
