I think its fine to have older people in the government and in these systems , old people who know what their doing can be very helpful and wise , i just dont think the current old people we have know what their doing .

Too old? It depends on the person. Biden is, as is McConnell. I think the larger issue is that of making an elected office a lifetime career. Some pols have been in Congress since the first year of Ronald Reagan's first term! NO! Get 'em out! Term-limit their butts so that people better aligned with the modern world can address Ukraine and other 21st century issues!

I think people should learn more about the issues and how the government and economics work (we tried to teach you this in school, but you had senioritis and didn't pay attention) before they vote. Then, the older politicians that are still able to do a good job will win elections, and the ones that aren't wont.

I think having a mixed age group in politics is super important. Politicians should reflect the diversity and needs of the people they serve, which means we need young and old people alike. I don't really enjoy the 'oh i'm so young and hip' bend that some politicians, like kamala harris has (she's 59), but it takes all sorts to build a society.
I don't think we should ban older people from being politicians, because ageism is a serious issue already and not having older adults in politics would make it worse. But the fact that all the presidential candidates are 75+ instead of 50+ is ridiculous. They should have advisor positions, or positions that focus on one area of government, not something as physically and mentally demanding as president.
(Notes: US presidents must be at least 35. There is no maximum. Joe Biden is 81, trump is 77, hillary clinton 76, bernie sanders 82. Obama was 42 when he became president. R. Reagan was 69 when he became president. Roosevelt was 42 when he became president. Dem or Rep, I think presidents are more productive the younger they are. And boy do we need some fucking productivity right now.)

I have nothing wrong with a few old politicians in office. I think there should be more younger politicians in office.

Depends on country, both for system and the politicians.
It matters if a US president is young and slim. He (or she hypothetically but it will be Trump or Biden who wins) has to be around for the next 4 years and no big health issues to affect it. I hope both have this (regardless of politics I wish good health on everyone) but... I'm not optimistic. Americans vote for a president. In this election if I was American, I'd be choosing between vps too, just in case.
Brits vote for a party, the PM is just leader of that party (I wish more people would understand that instead of having dislike of a politician affect their vote). Starmer will be around retirement age in 4 years. That's fine to me, but maybe he might want to step down & let someone else lead in the (unlikely) outcome of the "decade of Labour" he's talking about. Sunak is mid 40s. That's a normal working age. Only age opinion I have about him is - how on earth is not having Sky in the 80s "missing out" :))
Dunno how it works in other countries or how old their leaders are. But my general rule of thumb is: if you affect a leader they should be fit and healthy, if you elect a party it doesn't matter as much.

I feel like a lot of older politicians lose sight of the fact that the younger people are the ones who are going to have to live in the world they are not only making but that they likely wont be dealing with the long term effects of.
It'd be great to have someone younger in office who has the life experience of growing up in the same time many other young people have (which could also give great insight on how to fix the unique problems we have now because if we're being honest I don't think many people in older generations really understand what life is like today for the average person)
so yeah

I don't really care how young/old people are as long as they show they are capable of fulfilling duties.
