Whelp. Looks like we won't hit 7000 comments tonight. It was a good effort though.

Nice. I'm always happy when I can get some me time. I know it will be in short supply in the coming months.

Goodnight Rebecca!

Geeze finally back. Trying to get daughter to actually sleep in her room. She currently sleeps in a cot in our room. She's presently asleep in her room in her real bed. I'm not having much faith in this.... Lol

Yeah, it happens. But for sure, I wouldn't want life to get boring or anything. At this point I feel that I'm usually up to the challenge. Wasn't always the case though.

Atleast I don't get bored anymore lol

@Chance    Yeah, my little one always sneaks into our bed at night.

She hasn't slept in her room since she was 2 1/2. She will be 6 in September. We definitely do not allow her to sleep in our bed all night. She wants to snuggle in our bed, then falls asleep so we leav ve the room and enjoy ourselves. Then we just move her later when we go to bed. But we are transitioning to her room it was the first night tonight

It really is a double-edged edged sword though. Like, for the longest time, I was adamant about her staying in her room. Now she wants to cuddle all the time, so I feel like I should take advantage of it while it lasts lol

Chance, you are an old soul and that is awesome. I feel the world was a lot better and kinder in the 50s in some respects than it is now.

As for age, I have the mentality of a 19 year old sometimes, but some of the darkest moments of my life were certainly in my early 20s. I regret nothing though, because life made me who I am today.

Oh I was a late bloomer for sure. I was the nerdy kid who was too shy to ask the girl he liked out, for years lol

As I started to become more independent, life and relationships taught me.  I think a lot of older generations think it is easy for teenagers and even young adults, but in reality they have no idea. I certainly will keep that in mind when my kids are teenagers. It is a scary time in life, adventurous, but also full of the unknown lol

I won't lie though, some of it was damn fun.

Yeah I hear that. It was definitely a time for what one would say, experimenting? Like with relationships and all. Some people do change though, and you seriously learn first hand how hard it can be to lose some close people in your life.

As you might have guessed, that part of my life has had a strong influence on the books I am writing lol. I certainly do not miss the drama, but I feel it makes for a good story.

Oh believe me, I am not in the least bit offended lol.  I actually find myself asking why I felt compelled to write about it, but in short, it really is an interesting story. I was silent about a lot of things back then to, so in a way this is me breaking that silence, even if it is in an artistic way such as a novel.

I would never blame anyone for not going down that route. Afterall, why would someone want to be reminded of that, right?

When I first started the first book it was painful to write. Taking years off enabled me to mature and disassociate myself with the past. It's a lot less painful now than it was then. In a way, it has given me a new perspective, something I certainly needed haha

Poor Rebecca :(

As predicted, I have a mild headache once again, but it is more due to dehydration than anything. Something new the last five years, and I hate it.

Water is the order for the morning here.

Apparently, I don't drink enough water in general. I've tried to be better with that. I can't remember the last time I had more than 40oz in a single day.

We are going up north again, to the mountains to take more pictures today!

Here is another quote I stumbled upon recently:

"No matter how good or bad your life is, wake up each morning and be thankful you still have one."

Nice with the bio, writing in spurts sometimes helps.

@ Rebecca   Never been a huge fan of mountains, but after a year indoors, we needed to take some day trips lol

Oh yes. Got a bunch of pictures with my digital camera and I took a few on my phone I want to share. I sent them to my PC to make it easier lol

The burger was delicious, and huge lol. I can barely move.

We didn't go hiking, it was 28 up north (down from 38 at our house) and no way was the wife going to partake in hiking. This was our last vacation outing before baby #2 comes lol

@Aww Nyx, they just want you to partake in the fun lol

Okay, so if you're familiar with the White Mountains, there are a bunch of peaks that are named after US Presidents.

This one below though, is not haha. This is Mount Lafayette

And for others, from both last week and this week. There are 48 peaks in the New Hampshire White Mountains that are 4000 ft+

I believe this one below is Mount Washington (Home of the world's strongest non-storm related, wind gust of 231mph in the 1930s)

And some others:

Thanks Stevve! And I am glad you all like them, photography is something we enjoy doing together.

Rebecca, you lived in Alaska? What part? I've been there, Ketchikan in particular (where my aunt lives). Great place for clearing your mind.

I have one more. In 2008 (I think), we lost our "Old Man of the Mountain". This is an older picture of him from the interwebs:

We spotted where he used to be right away today. RIP Old Man :(

Thanks Nyx, I've only gone hiking a few times and the only mountain I have hiked was Mount Kearsage, which is further south in Central NH.

@ Rebecca, oh wow that is a ways up there. If I visited Alaska again (Ketchikan), I'd rather go on a cruise than fly out there lol
