Forum: Movies, TV, Celebrities

This could be any form of Physical media that incases movies (VHS,DVD,BD,BETA,LASERDISC)

NOT music Physical media (CD,VINYL,CASSETE)

VHS is my personal favorite but I'm curious what you guys think!

i'm a big fan of vhs tapes aswell. they're a lot more fun to collect imo and have a sort of vibe to them that other physical media like dvd/blu-ray can't really encapsulate tbh

Agreed.I mean,I love DVD and BD and all, and there much better quality. But I don't get physical media for the quality, I get it for the feel, you know? And VHS has a certain feeling you can't create on any other physical media format.

(plus if I wanted high quality, I'd just stream it)

My first reaction is also vhs - it has that grain and that good eyefeel, yk? its one of the main types i collect :] but also tbf the art of a good menu is held down by dvd no doubt - putting in a movie and getting a wonderful animated home screen, with special features/bloopers/extras? Hard to beat :P

VHS is by far my favourite format, to me there will always be something so deeply special about it. Although I also collect DVDs, but that is a much wider range so :p

Replying to Jude:

I have to agree, the specials stuff on DVDs and BDs is hard to beat,
but nowadays it would be better to just get higher quality and extra
features online with YouTube or streaming services (if you have one).
Also I have this problem with BDs where there is not many extras on them
as much as DVDs, and if they do they have it, its on these super
expensive special editions with gigantic packaging  that's hard to put
on your shelf.

So its really quality over experience we are having here

(Also $YD I have collected DVDs too, I think I might have more DVDs than VHS actually, just from how more convenient they where and still are today but not as much)
