Any of y'all got Bigfoot encounter stories, or encounters with similar creatures to Bigfoot?
One time when I was little, I was hiking with my family in New Hampshire, and I got separated from them. I remember vividly, in great detail, being taken up in the arms of a creature I didn't recognize. For some reason, I wasn't scared - comforted, almost.
The next thing I remember was sitting on a log, across from a creature who was also sitting on a log. He was much, much larger than me - when I first told this story, I said he must've been like 10 feet tall, but when I look back on the memories, especially since I've been back to that spot before, I estimate he was, at most, 5'9.
Covered in thick, nutty brown fur, with big brown eyes that looked out from a heavy brow ridge, he had a face somewhere between that of a humans and an orangutans, without the cheek flanges.
I don't remember much of what he did, but I remember he hummed to me, and kept watch. After what was about half an hour, he picked me up and placed me under a bush, where my family found me. I was like 9 years old, and, apparently, all elements of my story besides his height have stayed completely the same, which makes me feel more confident in trusting my story.
I've seen him walking around when I've felt uneasy whilst hiking before, or at least I think I have. I am susceptible to confirmation bias, though, and especially was at that age, as I was OBSESSED with Bigfoot stories, but I'm unsure of anything else that could be like that - maybe a super hairy homeless man, sure, but most ppl who go out taking kids like that don't do it for good reasons. Speaking of which, what would be a possible motivation?? Idk, and considering the amount of other stories like that, I'm hesitant to question.
Anyway, thats my story, and I'd love to hear yours! Doesn't have to neccesarily be Bigfoot, any sort of forest creature, ape man, etc are welcome, or even other cryptids if you feel you've got a real good story! Btw, if you want more details on mine, go ahead and ask! I'm open to all questions!
