In my opinion, an interesting option for experimenting with music is a synthesizer. If you want to learn more about hardware musical instruments for music production, then check out the Faqaudio forum for video reviews and discussions of various synthesizers, music workstations, digital pianos, etc. Personally, I was very interested in the Expressive E Osmose polyphonic synthesizer and now I dream of this miracle of musical technology for the production of my music.

I really like this album called L M N O P by Flossie & the Unicorns. It's minimal synth and spoken word. There is one member, a girl, who speaks in a high-pitched voice and plays all instruments(I assume). It's supposed to replicate music for kids (the woman pretends to be in a band with magical animals) but it's kind of eerie.

Recently I just put out a new album of experimental and abstract plunderphonics, inspired by the weirder side of early vaporwave and "internet music". With a ton of micro chops, pitch shifting, and an IDM influence in some places.

It's currently available as a free download so I hope you check it out!

Here's something I made recently, a generative ambient track created with my biggest modular patch to date. I was heavily inspired by Suzanne Ciani's 1975 Buchla concerts and I wanted to try to capture the mystique of the past that they seem to emanate. I also thought a lot about the deep sea and bio luminescence when making this.
