i make noisy, drone-y, ambient inspired by the likes of James Ferraro (and the whole hypnagogic ambient scene that began in the 2000s), Boards of Canada, and Slushwave under various pseudonyms. here's my bandcamp: thenightbladefeeds.bandcamp.com and there are some tracks on my profile too.

CAROLINER!!!!!!!!!!!!! their live performances are equally insane to their sound and their music is unlike anything you will have ever heard in your life
Burdensome Blood and Red Corn Moon are probably their most accessible songs and, in my opinion, bangers
all their albums are under different names but are very experimental to say the least and thick with surreal lyrics and abrasive and fascinating combinations of sounds; a must listen tbh

An album I did where- quite frankly I have no idea what sub-genre it is, can anyone on here figure out what it would be characterized as?

Recently I just put out a new album of experimental and abstract plunderphonics, inspired by the weirder side of early vaporwave and "internet music". With a ton of micro chops, pitch shifting, and an IDM influence in some places.
It's currently available as a free download so I hope you check it out!

I really like this album called L M N O P by Flossie & the Unicorns. It's minimal synth and spoken word. There is one member, a girl, who speaks in a high-pitched voice and plays all instruments(I assume). It's supposed to replicate music for kids (the woman pretends to be in a band with magical animals) but it's kind of eerie.

I also love experiments in music production and of course improvisation! Tell me what musical instrument do you play? In my opinion, an interesting option for experimenting with music is a synthesizer. If you want to learn more about hardware musical instruments for music production, then check out the Faqaudio forum https://faqaudio.com/c/hardware-instruments/11 for video reviews and discussions of various synthesizers, music workstations, digital pianos, etc. Personally, I was very interested in the Expressive E Osmose polyphonic synthesizer and now I dream of this miracle of musical technology for the production of my music.

Check out John Congleton's projects.
The Paper Chase, The Nighty Nite, John Congleton and the Nighty Nite...
They're all uncommon and weird, but what I like about them is their big sound. Sometimes it feels like it's more than music
