Wow. What an incredible episode! What are your thoughts?
Personally, while I liked Connor before, this episode is really turning me into a conhead. Everyone's reactions were devastating, but Connor's absolutely broke me. Seeing he still got married, with no audience, despite everything? It honestly felt sort of triumphant, in a way.
In addition, I've seen people saying that Tom's phone call seems slimy, but honestly? I get it. He's in a position of power over Greg, and he starts that call not feeling like he can show weakness or else he'll lose this air of authority at a time when his future is really shaky. But then we see that facade break, if only for a moment. And I get why that would be his main concern, too. Because if Logan is gone, and his future at ATN and at Waystar as a whole is no longer guaranteed, then he must be thinking, "what was all of this for?" He betrayed Shiv (who, despite it all, he does genuinely love), and now it might all be for nothing. His marriage is over, his career is over. All he has is this one vulnerable moment on a phone call with Greg, and then it's back to business to try his damnedest to fight in the mud for fucking something.
Kendall, as always, was heart-wrenching. Watching that last shot of him looking out at them rolling Logan's body away made me think of their conversation last season. "I'll be broken when you die," he said. I can't wait to see how true that is, for all of them.
What do you all think?
