I'm curating a YouTube playlist of exclusively old short films uploaded to YouTube. They range from the nostalgically iconic, cult classics, and the downright obscure (500-3000 views).
I'm looking for suggestions of what to add. There are a few qualifying features I'm looking for specifically;
It must have made it's first public appearance on the web, regardless of whether its production predates YouTube. An example would be something filmed in 1998 that the creator uploaded to YouTube in 2007 because they finally got the chance to show it off.
It must have been filmed in real time; mediums like live action, puppets, machinima. Although there are many iconic animations and stopmotions, mediums like puppets and machinima controlled in real time didn't really have a space to thrive before YouTube.
I'd also like videos that evoke emotion, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Obviously these videos are more fun to watch when they're clearly made with passion.
