2008, 2009 and 2010 themes are in the userstyles channel on discord, 2007 theme is on userstyles.world, 2012 style should be somewhere in general but if you ask tai7k he might have it

Hello there Griffen. I thought I would add additional clarification to the part of your post discussing the Wayback Machine functionality of the frontend (As it is one of yt2009's most curious features!). It appears to fetch all sorts of page information from an actual archive of the page from 2009, making it nearly exactly accurate. I have created a comparison using three different screenshots of the comedy youtuber Smosh's video "The Best Car Ever". The first screenshot uses no wayback features, the second screenshot has the wayback features flag enabled, and the third screenshot is an actual archive of the page from June 10th, 2009 (Ignore the discoloration that is from my capturing software and not the frontend).

As you can see with wayback features enabled the frontend brings back the original profile picture, banner, channel recommendations, channel title (It changes from a capital Smosh to the original lowercase smosh), and comments (Not pictured but they are the same between the archive and second screenshot). Although not applicable to this specific video it can also bring back the original title if changed, however I do not think it brings back original thumbnails just yet.

Another cool feature your post didn't touch on is the return of video responses! Not all video responses are available as channels have been deleted and videos removed but several popular videos still retain them. 

The only major features that I would like to see added to the frontend is to be able to attribute a channel to the "account" and "my videos" buttons in the fake channel dropdown in the top right for more immersion, and the ability to leave a fake rating. Finally I see that your post mentioned additional themes created by other users. If it might be possible to  send me a link to the userstyles discord where I could then gain access to the 2008 style I would be gracious. I only ask because it looks very good, and I am interested in looking at the methods used in its creation.

The link cannot be accessed without a randomly generated key which can only be created by the original owner. However for the sake of preserving the owners original vision if I receive a message from him I will glady take it down.

So this thing runs on older machines, it's supposedly that accurate, right? So how does it handle higher resolution content if at all? Out of curiosity

videos have an HD feature (like with youtube in 2009) and if you push it it goes to the highest resolution. i think it default to 480p if you dont push it

videos it cant handle are:

age restricted content

unlisted or private videos

if you meant screen resolution then it can handle any, the only issue is with VKNIGHTs theme

i cant do that smosh choose your own adventure thing this sucks

do you have annotations enabled? even if you do some annotations lead to unlisted videos (which dont work on the frontend)

yes some videos are unlisted on youtube, this isnt an issue with the frontend

Yeah, I don't think he's really active on Reddit. I've asked about it awhile ago and got no real response, I think the safest thing to do is just to wait since I don't think there's any other contact info - and digging too hard for info is likely a sign he doesn't want that info available which in your case probably isn't a good way to get into his closed beta lol
