tips for surviving senior year?

In btwn managing school, work, friends, and family I always end up burning myself out, which just negatively impacts everyone and everything around me. It's really frustrating :( Any tips on making it through my last year of high school in one piece?? pls thank you

Oof trust me I wish I could do the same the thing about school is that it gives my life structure, but I’d choose having free time over having routine any day

unsure of how easy this will be for you, but it helps a lot to prioritize. there's probably certain stuff you're working on, classes you're in, etc., that probably can handle receiving a little less effort on your end. form groupchats with your friends to collaborate on class work or see if someone in your classes is keen on just giving you their work to work off of (might not always be the case, but cherish it if the opportunity presents itself). focus hard on the stuff that's really important, but don't wear yourself out over stuff that's not as deep.

also, semi-relevant advice from having to take a full year of college remote and working at the same time: give yourself one day of the week to only do things for you. make it non-negotiable. it'll be hard at first and you'll probably spend most of the day feeling guilty about the work you could be doing, but it'll get better over time. if you don't rest intentionally, eventually you'll crash and it'll take a lot longer to recover from it.

finally, and of course this might not work for you either, but when i get burnt out i experience a lot of decision paralysis from all the work i could be doing. if you're like that too, make lists. make so many lists. my pro strategy in this case is to then break up the list into smaller categories: stuff you can do in 10-20 minutes or less, stuff that'll take 20+ minutes, and meetings/events/etc that i can't get out of. order everything by what's due first. it makes some stuff a lot more digestible.

i've been where you are and feel super heavy for what you're going through. best of luck--you can do this!

Holy crap this is literally a master list of amazing ways to handle this tysm!!! I really really appreciate it I can’t even thank you enough i actually love making lists so at least I got that going. As for the non negotiable day off—that’ll be a challenge but self care is so underestimated. Again thank you 10000x!!
