Share Your Original Chracters (OCs)

Personally, there is nothing I love more than my OCs. I love fleshing out their personalities, desires, and worlds. Whether its an OC from a universe of your own making, or an OC for your favorite show, go crazy stupid about them in my comments please.

My favorite OC right now is named Varin. He was mistakenly taken in by an all female high elf society when he was just a baby, and praised as the greatest prospect to join the high courts. After realizing he's a man, he tells the elder council and is barred from the society. He lost many of the deities he worshiped, and had to discover the world alone. In the end he is guided by the primordial goddess of balance, who has him bring his love interest (a veteran human who cheated death) to her last true altar, and kills her.

After that he spirals, as he gives up his religion. Without religion to guide him, he feels he lost direction in his life. He's resentful of the goddess who betrayed his trust, and lives his life in opposition. He blames her for all she did.

His story would end with the full circle. The society he was raised in was made by a worshiper of the primordial goddess who wished to escape war. The law barring men was placed after the hunger for power hurt the society, with men at the center of it. In the end, Varin would destroy those values. His anger towards the primordial goddess, and betrayal at being removed from his home, would lead to him destroying the society, ruining and proving it's purpose.

Another OC I love is Amadeus. She is a daughter of dionysus in the PJO world. She remained unclaimed and unaware of her status for years, as she was adopted by a rich family. She is in a dance academy with a girl named Priha (who she is in love with). Ama's parents are strict, and have high expectations. At a party she is told to mingle with Rachael Dare, and that's when she recieves a prophecy. She thinks Rachael is just weird, and goes on about her day.

As she and Priha are on a private flight to their university, the plane goes down. Priha tells Amadeus everything will be okay, before pressing a kiss to her lips. The plane hits the ground. Amadeus is barely conscious as she realizes there's monsters, and the only thing she has is her clothes and Priha's lip gloss. Priha is no where to be found. Something tells her to open the lip gloss, and when she does it turns into a mace. She struggles to use the weapon due to her lack of muscle, but is able to drag herself to camp half-blood.

That is where she learns Priha was a daughter of Aphrodite, which makes sense in Amadeus's mind. She is immediately approached by Rachael, who repeats the prophecy from the event. They have a quest, Rachael and Amadeus, and perhaps another character. There is darkness looming, and Amadeus wonders how her parents will react, if Priha's okay, and why she 's hunting monsters when she should be at Yale...

Not to give too much away, but I really want her story to be one of metamorphoses. I believe Amadeus would start as a skinny, straight-ironed blonde-hair, blue-eyed, proper clothed girl and turn into a woman with soft edges, stomach pudge, naturally wavy hair dyed brown, who wears sports tops and sweatpants. She is happier in the end, despite all the bruises it took the reach it.

Interesting OCs! I also love hearing about and discussing characters.

The first OC that comes to mind is Nikolaus Brückler. He goes by Nils and lives in Switzerland as of currently in the story I'm writing. He's an immortal of unknown origins, raised by the crew of a cargo ship that found him wandering around a port in the Mediterranean Sea. After searching all throughout the town and not being able to find his parents, the crew took him in. They taught him a lot of different languages, songs, and folk tales form their individual cultures, but he didn't learn much else until after the company closed down and everybody went home. Nils didn't have a home to go to, so he started working on a farm in exchange for food and housing.

Occasionally, a girl named Louise would come in and visit. After Nils' employer died, Louise referred him to another job in a secret time travel project. As it turns out, Louise is a time traveler from centuries in the future, which would be the early to mid-2010's.

In the novel I'm writing, which takes place in 2020-22, there was only one time where he met Louise from the same present (without either of them using time travel to see each other). That was the night they fell in love, and they promised that if they can see each other in the same present again, they would get married. So in his arc, all of his coworkers are helping him look for her while they're doing missions.

Personality wise, he's not very outgoing, but he likes having a few close people around. Sometimes he jokes around when he's in a certain mood, but he has a very dry humor that few people understand. He also has a strong sense of justice, which gets him in trouble sometimes. His friends don't realize how extremely emotional he can be until they actually get to know him, since his face is rarely readable. Some of his old coworkers started calling him Lady Gaga on account of his "poker face" and used this nickname to talk about him whenever he was around.

As for appearance, Nils is the tallest of his friend group with tan skin and dark, curly hair. He mainly wears comfortable, dark colored clothing. His eyes are narrow and golden, and usually accompanied with dark circles under them. Any forms of ID say that he was born in '98 since that's around the age he looks.

Unfortunately for him, he's my favorite character to write. So spoiler alert, things don't always go well! But at least he's alive to the very end. Physically.

Yall’s OCs are so lovingly crafted and it shows. Keep it up! I used to write, draw, and create characters all the time but I let that hobby dwindle lately. Maybe it’s time I get back into it :)

Imagine the disastrous product of a humble family-owned business with nobody but a college dropout running from the law as its heir. That would be Michelle Maldonado, a former “gifted” student who has been using her parents’ humble washateria as a front for her illegal game room. Nothing forced her into this position aside from her juvenile need to rebel and make copious amounts of money to fuel her idealized future full of nice clothes, nice houses, nice cars, and maybe a dog or two. Now she’s matured and realized, only after putting her friends and family in a life or death situation, that those desires were juvenile for a reason.

Michelle isn’t the same reckless kid she was five years ago. Where her 22-year-old self would have scoffed at the situation before lunging towards the easiest solution, her current 27-year-old self is logical and methodical to a fault, making her prone to being a nervous wreck. At least her attention to detail makes her someone to rely on to get the job done right. She is also deathly loyal to loved ones, and due to her unending need for external validation, she is surprisingly very easy to win over. Just praise her when she does something well and she’ll bend over backwards for more approval. However, she is still part of a bad business; she is polite, not kind, and she hides her ulterior motives (and fragile ego) under the guise of “just wanting to help.”

Her physical features are angular, with her sharp brown eyes and perpetually tense shoulders that make her stance look almost comically geometrical. Michelle’s genetics combined with her unhealthy lifestyle have doomed her to be built like a beanpole for the foreseeable future. She stands at 5 feet and 5 inches tall, has peach beige skin mottled with various small scars and bruises, and frizzy black hair ending at the nape of her neck. Her style is purposefully grungy and utilitarian, full of dark windbreakers and platform sneakers to make her a bit taller.

This all takes place in the early 2010s Texas, and it’s all very grounded in reality. I kind of hate that aspect bcs I wish I were more imaginative to make a setting more abstract but I’m just not built for that I guess. The storyline has been a work in progress for months and I doubt I’ll ever do much w it. I just like making the characters lol

Hello everyone, just wanted share my a couple of my own OC'S from this story I am currently writing for the past couple of years (procrastination freaking sucks) but slowly it is starting to take shape. Below are a the names of a couple of characters and a brief description of them.

Oliver Freeman: A washed up author who is currently an alcoholic bum living in his red 2009 Honda Civic. His appearance is a mid 30s man with a rather tall and bulky build but slightly out of shape due to his lifestyle and a face like it came straight out of an old American civil war photograph. Wears a green jacket and one of those cargo pants with a lot of pockets with couple of brown boots. A very melancholic and philosophical person.

Gloria Rose: A yoga instructor on her way to a convention in her silver BMW sedan....but is running late and starts to go on a road rage episode. Her appearance is a late 20s woman with a petite but strong build, wears an all light purple jump suit with sneakers. Despite being into yoga and meditation she has some anger issues due to her upbringing.

Doctor Scott Nakamura: A scientist working for a top secret project which involves an powerful artifact being transported from a dock in New York towards a facility somewhere in Utah via a trailer truck disguised as an ice cream truck. His appearance is an early 20s man in typical scientist outfit but with one those spiky frosted tips hair from the early 2000s. He is a bit of a weird nerd/jock hybrid but is strangely quiet when he is near a woman he has feeling for.

F.R.A.N.K:(Note this name is currently a placeholder) An artificial super intelligence that is residing inside a early 2000s intel pentium 3 laptop after escaping the governments attempt to shut it down. "It" takes the form of snarky late teenage boy (think of max headroom but in high school.) due to the nature of his "home" he always appears like very glitchy zoom meeting. Has a high understanding of human lives and emotion but rather cracks one liners at everyone, so yeah "SKYNET" he is not.

Katherine Dawn: A ghost of a woman who died in Victorian England, and currently haunting places with a high activity mainly because she just bored. Her first appearance will be at a crime scene where she wears ragged white outfit and long black hair that covered her face ( you know like those "Asian ghosts") but is only sporting that outfit to sort of "fit in" with the current trends (see emo/scene/goths subculture from the early 2000s) and has a very skewered interpretation on what this "trend" actually looks like.

Detective Josh Russo: A grizzled veteran of the police force investigating a weird crime scene in what seems to be his toughest case yet till he get some help from a certain ghost. His appearance is a early 50s man in outfit that resembles Jake Peralta from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine"  but more serious lol. Has a moustache and short trimmed grey hair.

Michael: Yes it is that Michael the archangel. He appears as a medium built man who wears a brown turtleneck sweater and seems way way stronger than he looks. Seems to make a habit of manifesting himself at random times and location but is always present at basketball games to give a big amount of moral support for his dear brother. Personality wise think of Rami Malek in "MR ROBOT" but the complete opposite, oh and he looks like him too.

Lucifer: Yes the devil himself. He appears as blond haired man with a rather unassuming looks that is until he starts talking and suddenly you get a sense that they are in the presence of the dark lord. He has retired from that evil stuff and is currently pursuing a career of a professional NBA player. The guy that plays Draco Malfoy is what he look like (Tom Felton).

GOD: and he looks like Jeff Bridges in a black suit and a cowboy hat. Appears to the first 3 characters I mentioned earlier as a mentor in guiding them to use their newfound powers as part of larger plan for them to eventually succeed HIM.

So this story is best described as "DEAD LIKE ME" meets "THE ELDER SCROLLS 3 MORRWIND" meets "SUPERNATURAL" meets "SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD".

Currently it is still a work in progress but all I can say is there will be a 1000 year time skip at the later end of the story and all the main characters hang out in an shopping mall food court when ever they are not in some adventure. Takes place in our modern times.

Your Ocs are really neat :3

Here's mine :D

1. Emily Baker is a 16 year old girl with an amputated arm who lives in a psych ward with her two best friends Whitney and Daniel. In my original project, "Stories from the Psych Ward" they find out the home they've lived in all their lives is a lie, and that they were kidnapped.

2. Mary Myers is a teen girl who is the daughter of Michael Myers, who ends up going to a prestigious school for horror movie characters called "Horrorwood" (yes, named after the popular ice nine kills song welcome to horrorwood)

3. Hailey is my channel mascot for my YouTube (@shadowangel_xd) and she's around 17-18. She is a scene kid living in about 2011, and hangs out with her friends known as "the broken hearts club" and they run a video blog.

I have many more but that's my main three :3
