*spoilers ahead, and mentions of SA/r@pe* if you're not sure what happens that episode, its essentially where the host club goes to the beach and two guys begin to harass their guests. haruhi steps in to defend them but gets pushed off of a cliff. tamaki afterwards berates her for being so careless and says she cannot do things like that since she is a girl. haruhi thinks this is dumb and refuses to change her mind about the matter. later though, kyoya pins her to his bed and points out how helpless and defenseless she is (pointing out how he could SA her and she could do nothing to stop it) to prove tamaki's point. this behavior is brushed off in the show and haruhi even calls him kind for it. she also later apologizes to tamaki for her doing the right thing.
anyways thoughts?
i know a lot of people view this as mysoginistic, r@pe culture-y, etc. but some defend it as being a product of the early 2000s and people not understanding the issue with these topics, especially in japan. but i wanted to hear your guy's opinion.
