Hii! I'm a citizen of NR and am happy to share my thoughts on it.
First of all, while NR isn't a space for hellenic polytheism specifically, it does revolve around religio romana, which is still an interesting religion and you can learn some things from it even if you're a helpol.
If you're not the most interested in Roman history/the Res Publica, NR may not be the best choice as they place a lot of emphasis on that for their higher roles; they have senators, consuls, aediles and so on.
Don't let this reply discourage you though! The people in NR are very nice and are willing to help out in my experience. If you want to look into Nova Roma, do so! :D
