I want to know what other people's proudest childhood moments/memories are. I'll start with mine:
I was 5 years old at a summer day camp in either 2011 or 2012 (I went there both years) and there was this girl who was slightly younger than me (she was 4 at the time). There were also other kids there, but they were all tweens/young teens at the time, so we were the 2 little kids there. One day, while I was in the kiddie pool outside as usual, I noticed that the other girl wasn't in the pool with me and didn't really care until I decided to get out of the pool and as I was searching for my towel, I noticed it wasn't where I left it.
I looked around for it before asking one of the adults there what happened to it. As it turns out, the 4 year old girl had borrowed my towel because she forgot hers. I was super pissed when I found out she was using my towel without my permission, so I walked over to where she was sitting at, tried snatching my towel off her but failed, and then I walked up behind the chair and forcibly pulled it backwards as hard and fast as I could causing the girl to fall backwards onto her back onto the fake grass and successfully stole my towel back and wrapped it around me. As soon as she hit the ground, she immediately started crying, and I knew damn well that I was going to be in trouble.
The other kids got out of the deep pool and we started to make our own shaved ice, but that's also when I was taken inside for a time out because I refused to apologize. After all, why should I have apologized over taking back my stolen towel with my name clearly written on the tag? I didn't care that I was in trouble, I was just glad I got my property back. Before being dragged inside, I remember the tweens offering her their towels.
Later that day, I went home and watched Curious George on DVD. Honestly, I'd say this was my proudest childhood moment. Over a decade later, I have absolutely no regrets about what I did. In addition, I sure did teach that bitch to never touch my property again because she never attempted to do anything like this to me again after that incident.
Also, I'm listening to the song "My Fist, Your Mouth, Her Scars" as I'm typing this, lol.
