my dad or a ghost?

i usually dont typee normalllyyy ?? but for this i am sadly ... ;((

okay so when i was around the age of 6, i could not for the death of me fall asleep, i dont know if i was nervous or excited for something but i couldnt fall asleep, i was wide awake. and around this time it was hard for me to sleep in my own bed without getting scared to fall asleep by myself so that might have had a factor in this too. but thats not the story.. that night, i had my door open to sleep, my bed was facing my closet and then beside the closet was my bedroom door. the hallway was pitch black and i was staring at my closet when i see in the corner of my eye a figure that looked like my dad, but it wasnt??? looked like him, but had that basic ghost movie blue filter on it and i was TERRIFIEDDDD because it walked into my room and walk towards me so when it did i put a thin cover over my head and the figure that looked like my dad went in and tucked me in bed and just walked out. this has haunted me for years, and even now i know this was not a dream. any explinations????
