Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio?

There's no question that we have gotten a lot of Pinocchio movies lately, but del Toro's version is the one I was most looking forward to.

It recently was added to Netflix - did you watch it? Do you plan to? How does it compare to the other Pinocchio's?

i just did a couple days ago! it was really beautiful and i loved some of the choices they made more true to the original story rather than a copy of a disney copy of a copy. i really enjoyed it but also don't think it's one i'll be craving a rewatch of any time super soon. probably could have had a few fewer musical numbers?

I LOVE THAT MOVIE!! The Adventures of Pinocchio (1996) was my favorite movie as a child. Watching Pinocchio 2022 made me remember how adorable he is. He’s adorable in Shrek, 2022’s, (and while I don’t remember them well, he looks cute in 1940’s, and 1996’s). Not only is he sweet, but I also loved Geppetto, Spazzatura, and Mr. Cricket in 2022’s. I loved the animation style, and the character design. Everything about that movie was a 10/10, including the giant tears it put in my eyes.
