Does anyone know any music software or sites that are really easy to learn?

I've always wanted to make my own songs, mainly lofi, weirdcore and vaporwave kinda stuff, but I've never been able to get my head around music making software. 

There was a site back in the mid 2000s I used to frequent that was super easy to use but I can no longer find it because I don't remember what it was called and unfortunately the only thing I remember about it was that it was a very dark blue site (or at least I think it was).

Sorry for getting off track, but can anyone point me in the direction of something that you don't really need a lot of music knowledge to learn?
